Ai3 Sets National Standards for Green Design and Technology

Whitman, MA - Architecture Involution, LLC (Ai3) of Wayland, MA recently opened the most “green” and technologically advanced high school in the United States. The new Whitman-Hanson Regional High School is quickly gaining a national reputation for its 21st century green design and “Smart Building Features.” After the building opened its doors in the Fall of 2005, tours have been conducted nonstop by members of the School and Building Committee. Educators from China “were completely amazed at the high level of technology and green design features that are seamlessly integrated into all classrooms and public spaces,” stated Superintendent John McEwan. Sir John Parker, Chairman of National Grid United Kingdom, toured the school and personally delivered the largest single rebate check in school construction history. The Chairman was “Thoroughly impressed with the achievements in energy savings the project was able to achieve.” Towns and Cities throughout the Northeast are constantly visiting the school where they clearly, “See that the greatest example ofeducational excellence in school design has been completed in the Towns of Whitman and Hanson, MA,” as indicated by the Selection Committee of Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Whitman-Hanson is the featured project being studied by graduate students at Northeastern University because of it sustainable design strategies and features...
