Johnson & Wales Cuisinart Center For Culinary Excellence

The new 82,000SF state of the art Culinary Education Center recently built for Johnson & Wales University is a visual masterpiece. The facility houses twenty-three new kitchens, with a variety of uses such as a brewery, wine room, pastry rooms and a room devoted to the use and sculpting of chocolate.

The building façade includes a wall of limestone, curtain wall and metal panels. Interior finishes are visually appealing with the use of high-end finishes.

The Cuisinart Center for Culinary Excellence received LEED Gold certification. Some of the sustainable features included in the design are rainwater recycling system for use in the irrigation system, and re-use of recycled construction materials. Drought tolerant native vegetation have also been included providing more green space for the campus.
